Model loading getting stuck

Edited Jun 16, 2011 at 1:33 PM

I am trying out the toolkit and loading the OBJ Model at http://www.shareaec.com/v/15133/related/5/3D-Model/Tex-Mex-Restaurant---Obj,3ds,Lwo,Wrl-w/Textures

It loads all the materials but loading gets stuck and OnImportCompleted never gets called,

Any help?

Hello

Thanks for the quick reply, It's Basicallty the Viper Sample code that I changed to read my sample Model

You can find  the code at: http://109.228.2.109/Silverlight/Code.zip (You may have to fix up the references and File paths are hard coded) and Model is http://109.228.2.109/Silverlight/Model.zip

Hi Ketul,
sorry for the delay but I’m really busy Sourire
Your model is a bit strange as some lines are not well sorted.
I have updated the importer to correct your problem.
The next release will introduce this correction (but you can already download the source code to get it).
Regards,
David.

Great, I will try and get the source and compile it, another question is there is a possibility of creating my own renderer to render other file types such as 3D DWG/ DWFx and IFC (Industry Foundation Classes, primarily used in Construction 3D Models) on top of the toolkit?

Other thing I noticed with the OBJ Importer is, it did not like spaces in the names of the Images used for Texture in MTL files

Thanks

Ketul

Hi Ketul,
you can write your own importer on top of the Babylon Toolkit. Take a look at the ObjImporter project.
